Transitory Spaces

Couches are transient and public spaces for gathering. However, recreating an image of the couch through ceramics takes on a new identity being hard, fragile, and elevated on the pedestal stairs. The displacement of something that’s familiar, but no longer accessible. Stairs are other transitory spaces I investigate as an in-between space of here and there often leading to an unresolved somewhere.
